Da Nang to Shine with 149 Billion VND “River of Lights” Project

The Da Nang People’s Committee has just approved the investment policy for the artistic lighting project “River of Lights” (Phase 1), with a total budget of over 149 billion VND (approx. USD 6 million) funded by the city. The project will be implemented between 2025–2027.

As part of this initiative, the Han River will be illuminated with artistic lighting installations, including:

- New decorative and architectural lighting for Nguyễn Văn Trỗi Bridge and Tiên Sơn Bridge.

- Upgraded artistic lighting for Thuận Phước, Han River, Trần Thị Lý, and the iconic Dragon Bridge.

- Installation of laser sky beams on four major bridges, creating dazzling effects visible across the city skyline.

- Additional water surface laser lighting to reflect shimmering beams onto the Han River, enhancing its nighttime charm.

The project aims to modernize and beautify Da Nang’s riverfront, boost urban appeal, and strengthen the city’s position as a premier tourism hub in Central Vietnam. By transforming the Han River into a “River of Lights”, Da Nang hopes to create a new cultural landmark and a must-see attraction for both domestic and international travelers.

For Indian travelers planning a Vietnam journey, this project is particularly noteworthy. Da Nang is already renowned for its sandy beaches, vibrant festivals, and the spectacular Dragon Bridge that breathes fire every weekend. With the “River of Lights” project, the city promises even more breathtaking nightscapes, making it an unmissable destination in your Vietnam itinerary.
