Quang Ninh Ignites the Night: Weekly Fireworks Light Up Halong Bay

Quang Ninh will launch a weekly high-altitude fireworks show every Friday and Saturday night from July 4 to September 2, 2025, aiming to enrich night tourism and encourage visitors to stay longer.

Each show will take place from 9:30 PM to 9:45 PM, featuring 2,100 low-altitude fireworks and 1,000 high-altitude shells synchronized to themed music for a multi-sensory experience. Three venues are being considered for the displays: Halong International Cruise Port, Sun Carnival Plaza in Bai Chay Ward, and 30/10 Square in Ha Long Ward.

The series will debut at Vinh Pháo Hoa (Fireworks Bay), a newly developed festival area beside Halong International Cruise Port in Sun Elite City. From July 4, visitors can enjoy performances every Friday and Saturday at 9:15 PM. This is the first time Quang Ninh has hosted fixed weekly fireworks shows, adding a new highlight to the city’s nightlife.

Standard tickets are priced at 100,000 VND, with free admission for children under one meter in height. From July 4 to July 31, tickets will be available at a 35 percent discount, reducing the price to 65,000 VND, or 50,000 VND if booked in advance through the Sun Paradise Land mobile application.

For a premium option, visitors can admire the fireworks from a luxury dinner cruise departing from the International Cruise Port, offering panoramic views of Halong Bay by night. Others may choose to stroll along Heritage Bay, enjoying local street food while waiting for the night sky to light up in color.

The weekend fireworks are expected to become a central attraction during the summer high season and year-end holidays. They also mark two significant milestones: the launch of Quang Ninh’s new two-tier local government model on July 1 and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, 2025.

With its blend of culture, coastal scenery, and vibrant nightlife, Quang Ninh continues to affirm its status as one of Vietnam’s most attractive destinations.
