Ho Chi Minh City's Central Hotels Fully Booked for April 30th Holiday

As Ho Chi Minh City prepares to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30th, central hotels are experiencing unprecedented booking rates.​

Prominent hotels along key routes such as Nguyễn Huệ, Lê Duẩn, and Tôn Đức Thắng, venues for parades and fireworks displays, have reported full occupancy well in advance. Notably, even premium suites like the Presidential Suite at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, priced at approximately 50 million VND per night, have been reserved.

Hotel managers, including Ms. Vũ Thị Thanh Hiền of Kim Đô - Royal Hotel Saigon and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Kim Trang of Viễn Đông Hotel, have expressed surprise at the surge in demand, noting that many guests secured their bookings months ahead.​

Mr. Lê Trương Hiền Hòa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, highlighted that the grand scale of this year's celebrations has significantly boosted tourism, benefiting not only hotels but also ancillary services like dining, transportation, and city tours.​

Hotels such as Riverside Saigon, Majestic Saigon, and Renaissance Riverside Saigon, known for their prime views of the Saigon River and proximity to fireworks displays, are among the most sought-after accommodations. Additionally, mid-range hotels in Districts 1 and 3 have reported high occupancy rates, driven by their convenient locations near major event sites.​

This surge in hotel bookings underscores the profound impact of the April 30th celebrations on Ho Chi Minh City's tourism sector, marking a significant milestone in the city's hospitality industry.
