Over 13,000 Participants Expected in the Grand Parade Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation
A grand military parade and procession will be held at 8:00 AM on April 30 along Lê Duẩn Street, Ho Chi Minh City, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification. The event will feature over 13,000 participants, including 35 formations from the armed forces and a special unit representing overseas Vietnamese.
Key highlights include a 21-gun salute, air force flyovers, symbolic vehicles displaying the national emblem, flags, President Hồ Chí Minh’s portrait, and a model marking the 50th anniversary. Ho Chi Minh City authorities will also organize memorial ceremonies, scientific conferences, exhibitions, and nationwide broadcasts to honor the nation’s history and unity.
