Launch of REVER Cruise: A New Cultural and Culinary Experience on the Saigon River
REVER Cruise has officially launched at Saigon Port – Nha Rong Wharf, offering a new multicultural dining and lifestyle experience along the Saigon River toward Phu My Bridge. The cruise is positioned to become a distinctive destination for both domestic and international travelers exploring Ho Chi Minh City.
In the first ten months of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed over 6.5 million international visitors, up 17.7 percent year on year, along with more than 33 million domestic travelers. Tourism revenue exceeded VND 208 trillion, equivalent to nearly 72 percent of the city’s annual target. Since the administrative merger, waterway tourism has seen an increase of 10 to 15 percent, demonstrating the strong potential of river-based travel and entertainment products. From river buses to dinner cruises and sunset tours, waterway tourism has become an increasingly popular choice for visitors seeking a new perspective of the city’s vibrant rhythm.
Consumer interest in wellness-focused experiences and nature-driven activities is also driving the growth of cruise-related products. According to Statista, Vietnam’s cruise market is projected to reach USD 7.31 million in 2025 and USD 10.61 million by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 7.75 percent. Despite Vietnam’s advantages in landscapes, waterways, and culinary traditions, the market still has significant room for expansion compared to the global cruise industry, estimated at USD 8.74 billion in 2025.
According to CEO Bui Duc Vien, REVER Cruise aims to embody the city’s spirit of integration and prosperity. He emphasizes a commitment to strong cultural experiences that create memorable journeys and set new standards for dining and entertainment cruises in Ho Chi Minh City.
With a length of 120 meters, an area of 10,000 square meters, and a capacity of 1,288 guests at once, REVER Cruise reflects the scale of large international vessels while maintaining a modern and refined design. Its focus on elevated hospitality, balance, and personalization introduces a new benchmark for dining cruises in the city.
The launch of REVER Cruise has been recognized as a valuable contribution to the city’s tourism landscape. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the cruise enhances product diversity, supports the night-time economy, and aligns with the strategic development of river tourism. The department expects REVER Cruise to become a compelling product for both international and domestic visitors.
Positioned as a cultural and experiential vessel, REVER Cruise is built around five value pillars: Renewal and Relaxation, Exploration, Vision and Finesse, Excellence, and Reverie. The cruise offers a five-deck layout inspired by various cultural themes, creating a cinematic atmosphere across different spaces.
The lower decks highlight romantic heritage-themed venues such as Rever Hall, Presidential Suite, and Reveryun, while the middle deck blends cultural influences with spaces for meetings, events, and entertainment. The upper levels introduce global cultural designs, featuring areas inspired by Morocco, Champa heritage, and a large sundeck with panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City.
Dining is central to the REVER Cruise experience. The culinary program balances international flavors with local specialties, offering a range of menus that include buffets, seafood selections, set menus, and specialty dishes influenced by Chinese, Western, and Vietnamese cuisine. The cruise also provides customized event services for private celebrations, corporate functions, product launches, and cultural programs.
Interior design features a blend of classic and modern elements, with warm tones, refined details, and curated art pieces. Acoustic and fire-resistant architecture is applied throughout all event halls. Audio systems by Bang & Olufsen elevate the atmosphere with premium three-dimensional sound quality.
The onboard service team is trained to deliver discreet, personalized hospitality that supports comfort, privacy, and seamless experiences.
To celebrate its launch, REVER Cruise welcomes guests from November 25, 2025, and introduces several promotional offers for the festive season. Individual and corporate diners can receive up to 30 percent off selected menus. Special rates are available for set menus, seafood buffets, and lounge packages. Event and wedding bookings also enjoy preferential pricing for events held until February 28, 2026, with advance payment conditions.
