Vietnam Tops Emirates’ Summer 2025 Booking List, Driven by New Dubai–Danang Route

Vietnam has emerged as the most-booked destination for the summer 2025 travel season, according to the latest booking data from Emirates - one of the world’s largest airlines. The surge is fueled by strong demand and the growing appeal of the new Dubai–Danang route, which has quickly become a strategic link between Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States.

While familiar destinations such as Japan and France remain in high demand, Emirates noted a clear shift toward destinations offering authentic culture and discovery. Vietnam stood out with a 61% year-on-year increase in bookings, marking its strongest performance yet and signaling the country’s rising position on the global tourism map.

The launch of Emirates’ direct service to Danang has diversified the city’s international visitor profile, attracting travelers from wealthier markets. Currently, the airline operates 25 weekly flights to Vietnam’s three major cities -- Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Danang. The Dubai–Danang connection, which transits through Bangkok, offers seamless access to Vietnam’s central coast and nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Hoi An, My Son, and Hue.

“Vietnam’s third-largest city is a gateway to world heritage destinations and home to over 3,000 kilometers of pristine coastline. For food lovers, the country offers a rich culinary landscape - from bustling street food markets to fine dining experiences. Vietnam promises an unforgettable journey for every traveler,” Emirates shared.

Danang’s appeal lies not only in its accessibility but also in its world-class hospitality. The city is home to renowned luxury resorts such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Premier Village Danang Resort, and Novotel Danang Premier Han River. Iconic attractions like the Dragon Bridge and the Golden Bridge at Sun World Ba Na Hills continue to draw visitors seeking stunning, photo-worthy experiences. The mountaintop resort also hosts year-round festivals and performances, catering to international guests looking for a lively and immersive atmosphere.

Adding to its vibrant tourism calendar, Danang is the only city in Vietnam - and one of the few in Asia - that hosts an annual international fireworks festival. The Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) spans nearly two months, featuring top fireworks teams from around the world and a series of accompanying events that keep the city buzzing with energy. During the DIFF 2025 grand finale on July 11, Danang International Airport recorded 171 flights in a single day, a 40% increase compared to earlier in the year.

With accolades such as Asia’s Leading Festival & Event City by the World Travel Awards and an ever-expanding lineup of festivals, Danang continues to reinforce its image as one of Asia’s most dynamic and captivating coastal destinations - and a shining symbol of Vietnam’s global tourism growth.
