Discover “The Essence of Vietnamese Culture” at the Autumn Fair 2025

From October 25 to November 4, the Autumn Fair 2025 will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi, featuring a vibrant array of cultural and trade activities. As a nationally scaled event under the direction of the Government, it is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee, and various partners.

The fair is divided into five main thematic zones, “Prosperous Autumn,” “The Essence of Vietnamese Culture,” “The Charm of Hanoi Autumn,” “Autumn Colors of Vietnam,” and “Autumn of Family”, each telling a vivid story about the people, culture, and dynamic economy of a modern Vietnam in motion.

A Vibrant Showcase of Cultural Industries

Covering an expansive area of over 10,000 square meters, the “Essence of Vietnamese Culture” zone highlights the diversity and creativity of Vietnam’s key cultural industries. It presents a panoramic view of how culture drives both social and economic growth while showcasing the country’s rich identity to the world.

Visitors will encounter everything from software and gaming, symbols of Vietnam’s thriving digital economy, to the timeless artistry of handicrafts that reflect traditional craftsmanship. The fashion and design sectors bring a fusion of contemporary aesthetics and heritage, while performing arts introduce a fresh dialogue between traditional forms and modern technology. Vietnamese cinema is also making its mark globally with acclaimed works that convey humanistic values and national pride. Meanwhile, cultural tourism continues to flourish as a bridge connecting heritage with modern experiences, helping share Vietnam’s story with international visitors.

An Immersive and Interactive Cultural Experience

Each exhibition area invites visitors to engage directly with Vietnam’s creative spirit. The software and gaming section offers eSports competitions, digital entertainment, and interactive showcases. The publishing pavilion hosts a lively “Book Festival,” where readers can meet authors, join signings, and enjoy a cozy café atmosphere surrounded by literature.

At the film pavilion, guests step behind the scenes of Vietnamese cinema, meet production crews, and enjoy screenings such as Red Rain in a modern theater setting. Performing arts spaces blend traditional and contemporary styles through artist meet-ups, costume and prop displays, and stagecraft exhibitions.

Other highlights include the sports pavilion, featuring martial arts and dance performances, and the arts, fashion, and handicrafts section, which honors the creativity of Vietnamese artisans. The tourism pavilion brings together local destinations, associations, and travel businesses, offering promotional packages and special tour deals to encourage exploration across Vietnam.

Throughout the fair, visitors can enjoy daily cultural performances that capture the richness and diversity of Vietnamese art, transforming the space into a lively celebration of national creativity and identity.

A Vision for a Thriving Cultural Economy

The presence of cultural industries at the Autumn Fair reflects Vietnam’s long-term vision of transforming culture into a pillar of economic development. By 2030, these industries are expected to contribute about 7% to the national GDP. Specifically, the film sector aims for 250 million USD in revenue; performing arts, 31 million USD; visual arts, photography, and exhibitions, 125 million USD; advertising, 3.2 billion USD; and cultural tourism, 15–20% of the projected 40 billion USD total tourism revenue.

These figures represent not only potential but also aspiration, the desire to build a thriving, sustainable cultural industry that strengthens Vietnam’s position in the global creative economy.
