Novotel Nha Trang Earns Prestigious International Green Key Certification for Sustainability
Novotel Nha Trang has officially received the globally recognized Green Key certification, one of the world’s most respected eco-labels for sustainable and environmentally responsible tourism operations.
Awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), the Green Key certification recognizes hospitality establishments that meet rigorous international standards in resource conservation, waste reduction, and community engagement. This achievement highlights Novotel Nha Trang’s comprehensive commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint while maintaining premium service quality.
General Manager Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong shared:
“We believe sustainable development is not a choice but an inevitable path for the tourism industry, where nature and people must remain at the center. At Novotel Nha Trang, our goal is not only to deliver high-quality services but also to create a friendly and responsible destination.”
Over the years, the hotel has introduced a range of meaningful and impactful sustainability initiatives, including:
Energy and Water Efficiency
Implementing energy-saving lighting systems and installing water-saving devices in guest rooms and public areas.
Effective Waste Management
Carrying out waste segregation at the source and partnering with local recycling organizations.
Reducing Plastic Waste
Replacing plastic bottles with reusable glass containers and introducing eco-friendly amenities.
Environmental Awareness and Local Collaboration
Organizing beach clean-ups and community programs to promote environmental consciousness among guests and residents alike.
A particularly notable initiative is the hotel’s mangrove restoration project at Dam Bay, an essential mangrove ecosystem in Nha Trang. Over 1,000 mangrove trees have been planted to help prevent coastal erosion, protect marine habitats, and support climate resilience efforts.
Novotel Nha Trang’s achievement of the Green Key certification marks an important milestone in its long-term sustainability journey, demonstrating that luxury hospitality and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand to create a greener, more sustainable future for the travel industry.
