Pho Doi Lap: The Spectacular Return of Taste Studio at Regent Phu Quoc

Taste Studio, Regent Phu Quoc’s signature culinary and performing arts showcase, will return this November with an all-new edition titled “Pho Doi Lap.” This exclusive experience invites guests on a multi-sensory journey that intertwines flavors, movement, music, visual arts, and Vietnamese culture in an unforgettable celebration of creativity.

Limited to only 32 guests, the event will take place at 6:00 PM on November 28, 29, and 30. It begins with a welcome cocktail and concludes with a grand finale, offering guests the opportunity to meet the artists and culinary team behind the production. Marking the fourth season of Taste Studio, “Pho Doi Lap” continues to affirm Regent Phu Quoc’s position as a destination where gastronomy, performance, and storytelling merge to create a deeply immersive experience.

A Dialogue of Art Forms
At the heart of Taste Studio lies the dialogue between gastronomy, visual arts, dance, music, and design. The creative team for this edition includes AC3 Studio from Paris, choreographer Sabra Johnson – winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” USA, Executive Chef Francesco Andreoni, the Regent Phu Quoc culinary team, artists from Truc Chi Art, and the experimental music group Limebócx.

AC3 Studio – Masters of Light and Imagination
AC3 Studio, the acclaimed Paris-based creative technology atelier, is known for transforming stories into immersive sensory experiences through dynamic lighting, motion design, and interactive installations. Their impressive portfolio includes bespoke projects for the world’s most prestigious luxury brands and large-scale art projections such as the 2023 light show at Ngo Mon Gate in Hue. Bringing their poetic vision and technical mastery to Taste Studio 2025, AC3 redefines spatial storytelling through an artistic lens that fuses technology and emotion, promising an unforgettable visual journey for guests.

Sabra Johnson – The Language of Movement
Born in Utah, USA, Sabra Johnson rose to fame as the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 3 at the age of nineteen. Since then, she has performed and taught around the world before settling in Vietnam, where she now directs and choreographs both collaborative and independent projects. Drawing inspiration from American performing arts traditions such as Jazz and Vaudeville, Sabra infuses her choreography with theatrical flair, passion, and playfulness. At Taste Studio, she brings her international expertise and expressive artistry to celebrate dance as a universal language of connection.

Truc Chi Art – The Soul of Vietnamese Craftsmanship
If Japan has Washi and Korea has Hanji, Vietnam has Truc Chi – a distinctive handmade paper art form that transforms natural materials into radiant works of contemporary beauty. Founded by artist Phan Hai Bang in 2012, Truc Chi was born from the idea of “liberating paper from its static background to become an independent artwork.” Using techniques that combine water pressure, traditional papermaking, and printmaking principles, Truc Chi achieves remarkable tonal depth and translucence. Made from bamboo, rice straw, sugarcane, banana fibers, and native grasses, each piece embodies the duality of light and shadow, simplicity and sophistication, tradition and modernity.

Limebócx – Where Tradition Meets the Future
Hailing from Hanoi, Limebócx is a trio known for their fusion of traditional Vietnamese sounds with contemporary music. Their compositions blend the nostalgic timbre of the dan tranh with vibrant vocals, bass rhythms, and refined electronic layers. This harmony between old and new evokes the soul of Northern Vietnam’s rural culture while expressing the modern spirit of creativity. Through their performance at Taste Studio, Limebócx invites listeners to experience the essence of Vietnamese music reborn in a fresh and emotional way.
