Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay

This October, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is set to host a 12-day celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, uniting traditions from Vietnam’s Tết Trung Thu, Korea’s Chuseok, and Japan’s Golden Week. More than a festive program, the event promises to weave together cultural heritage, gastronomy, and wellness, reflecting the joy of reunion, sharing, and seasonal abundance.

Designed by the legendary Bill Bensley and inspired by the fictional Lamarck University, the resort offers a stage where guests play the role of “exchange students” discovering layers of history, design, and story.

A Culinary Journey Under the Moonlight

At Tempus Fugit, guests can savor Vietnamese dishes celebrating local harvests, alongside the buffet Silk Road Journey, which retraces the flavors of the ancient trade route.

On the beach, Red Rum embraces the world-famous Oktoberfest spirit with freshly brewed craft beer, smoky skewers, and family-style BBQ feasts.

For an indulgent afternoon, French & Co. offers tropical bingsu and handcrafted mooncakes—a perfect pause for family gatherings.

The highlight of the festival is a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience at Pink Pearl by Olivier E., reserved exclusively for successful bidders. Michelin-starred chef Olivier Elzer, together with Executive Chef Danny Do and sommelier Gin, will present a haute cuisine menu paired with fine wines. Set in the opulent pink mansion with 1920s Gatsby glamour, the evening will be accompanied by live classical music, elevating the celebration into an unforgettable memory.

Wellness and Mindful Experiences
Beyond gastronomy, guests can welcome the sunrise with yoga by the sea or retreat to Chanterelle – Spa by JW, where treatments inspired by lunar rhythms blend local herbs with traditional techniques. A tea ceremony workshop offers deeper insights into mindfulness and cultural traditions across Asia.

For Families and Children
As the Mid-Autumn Festival is often referred to as the “Children’s Festival,” the program also brings parents and little ones together for lantern parades, bonfire gatherings, moon-gazing, storytelling, night markets, and the much-anticipated feast under the full moon.
