Mekong Delta - The Rice Bowl of Vietnam
Drive to southwestern of Vietnam to the Mekong Delta, a remarkable agricultural area referred to as ‘the rice bowl of Vietnam’. On arrival, travel by boat on the waterway to discover lively activities on the waterway by cargo boats, fishing boats, kinds of fish traps and handicraft factories of coconut processing on land.
Stop at a coconut candy mill, have a look at local people making candies by hand and try some sweets, enjoy some fruits by the way. Next take a short walk on paths to traditional handicraft village nearby. Visit coconut charcoal ovens–make products from coconut shell as active charcoal (a kind of material for battery) and have a look at the stages of processing coconuts by hand.
Continue by boat on canals winding through coconut jungle and palm trees, mangrove trees growing up wildly along the waterway. Hop on tuktuk or Bike through coconut grove and coconut jungle in the country. Relax and keep going by rowing boat on a shady palm tree canal.Back to hotel
